Dr. Meurant
DENTIST
Dr. Meurant is the esteemed founder and lead dentist at Riverjoy Dental in Peace River, Alberta. Born in 1987 in South Africa, he brings a unique blend of global insight and local care to his practice. With a philosophy centered around blending the art and science of dentistry, Dr. Meurant is dedicated to creating a harmonious balance of health, functionality, and aesthetics to his work. With passion for various dental fields, including surgery, cosmetic, and preventative dentistry, he is deeply committed to utilizing the latest technology for the best patient care. Beyond his professional achievements, he is a dedicated family man, an avid lover of nature, and an active member of the Peace River community, often participating in local events and initiatives. He strives to continuously enhance the patient experience and contribute positively to the community's health and wellbeing.
Shelbie
MANAGER/RDA
Shelbie grew up in a small town in Northern Alberta and has been an integral part of the dental community for a decade now. Passionate about cultivating meaningful connections with her patients, she is committed to guiding them towards optimal oral health while possessing in-depth knowledge of the latest dental technology. Currently serving as the office manager, Shelbie remains actively engaged in patient care, leveraging her expertise to assist on the front lines. As a versatile and dedicated team member, Shelbie continues to contribute to the success and patient-focused approach of Riverjoy Dental.
Chantielle
RDH
Chantielle joined Riverjoy Dental in the summer of 2021. She has been a Dental Hygienist since 2012, completing her diploma at Regency Dental Hygiene Academy in Toronto. Chantielle was a dental assistant prior to becoming a hygienist, which is an asset to the office.
Chantielle is qualified to administer Local Anaesthesia, Nitrous, and Laser Therapy. She loves to learn and keeps up to date with continuing education to help her patients the best she can.
Chantielle is Married with 2 beautiful daughters. She loves to travel and spend lots of time outdoors in the summer months. Chantielle was born and raised in the Peace Country and enjoys getting to know her patients.
Jeandré
RDH
Jeandre completed her Dental Hygiene diploma in 2012 at Regency Dental Hygiene Academy in Toronto, Ontario and has been working in Peace River since 2014. She is very passionate about her work in dentistry and cares deeply for every patient that she treats. She especially feels accomplished when she can make people with previously negative experiences feel comfortable, happy, and at ease to be receiving dental care. Jeandre joined the Riverjoy Dental team in 2021. When she's not working, she loves to travel and spend time with her family.
Shay
RDA
Shay became a valuable member of the Riverjoy team in August 2021, initially contributing in an administrative capacity with her vibrant and enthusiastic approach. In 2023, she officially transitioned to the role of a Registered Dental Assistant and is embracing the opportunities for further learning and professional growth. Shay was born and raised in the Peace region and is now married to Dylan and together they have two awesome puppies. She looks forward to meeting and assisting all of the fantastic patients at Riverjoy Dental.
Tori
RDH
Tori graduated from the Dental Hygiene diploma program at the U of A in 2015. She has been working around the Peace Country ever since, and is extremely excited to be part of the Riverjoy Dental team, and be able to provide her Dental Hygiene services in her home town. She strives to make sure her patients have a positive experience and leave with a smile on their face!
Shandi
ADMINISTRATION/RDA
Shandi has been a part of our Peace Country dental community for over 13 years, completing her dental assisting in 2015. You will find her welcoming smile in our reception, since joining our team in February of 2023.
Shandi’s warm, personable nature makes everyone she encounters smile. She is looking forward to connecting with our patients and being a part of helping provide them with their best experience at Riverjoy Dental.
